Owner & Director

Meet Ms. Mara! She is the Director and Owner of Ewing Community Preschool. Born and raised in Ewing, Ms. Mara attended Ewing High School before continuing her education in Psychology at The College of New Jersey. Upon graduation she received her P3 (Preschool through 3rdgrade) teaching certification and currently leads our Pre-K3 class. 

Having over 33 years of experience working in education and previously working for the Department of Children and Families inspecting Child Care Centers. Ms. Mara decided it was time to give back to the Ewing community and open a preschool that offered affordable, quality care. Since opening back in 2011, Ms. Mara has seen her friend’s children and even their friend’s grandchildren attend ECP. 

Throughout the years, it is the connections and relationships they make with the families that is the best part. Ms. Mara loves to see how much the children learn and grow during their time at ECP.

Hobbies: Loves to read, go to the beach, play mahjong with friends.

Fun fact: Under Ms. Mara’s senior yearbook picture it says, “When I grow up, I will own a preschool.”
